I have been a long time member of the Ryobi One+ fan club. I have considered a number of times to switch to another brand, but there are two reasons that I haven't.

  1. Price! Of course, never pay full price unless you are in a bind and need a tool fast. These battery powered tools are incessantly on sale either in the box stores or the discount outlet stores.

  2. Options! There is just not any other brand out there that has as many tool options to take advantage of the investment you have made in their batteries.

That's not to say I don't own any other brand products, but when it comes to battery powered options, the only tools in my shop are Ryobi.

The RYOBI P135 18V One+ 6 Port Lithium Ion Battery Supercharger has long been on my wish list, but I never broke down to buy it. When I caught it on sale at half off, I had to take the leap, especially now that I possess about 10 batteries and my other chargers seem to only want to work some of the time.

Key things to know about this charger:

  1. It only charges one battery at a time. This can be annoying at first, but makes sense when you think about it and isn't a big deal if you keep the batteries on board.

  2. It can hang on the wall. There are 2 slots on the bottom to hang this vertically on the wall.

  3. There is a USB charger on the end. Handy for when you are in your shop and need to give your phone some juice.

  4. There are light indicators to give you a status of each battery.

The Ryobi ONE+ HP 18V Brushless Cordless Compact 1/2 in. Drill and Impact Driver Kit was an upgrade from a similar set that I have had for many years. The old ones still work without issue, but the grips have been wearing down over the years. Plus sometimes, I just can't pass up a great deal!

Key things to know about this set:

  1. Accepts 1/2 drill bits. This is important as I previously owned a drill that only took up to 3/8's which was quite annoying at times.

  2. There is a light that turns on when the drill is in use. This is really nice to provide direct lighting on that target of the drill.

  3. Both drills are compact allowing you to get into tighter spaces, especially when compared to my old non-brushless models.

Overall I am happy with both purchases. I always recommend waiting for the sales, but I feel confident in recommending these two products.
