WORKSHOPSHOME IMPROVEMENTS

The garage floor was getting long in the tooth and it was time for an upgrade. The epoxy was 8 years old and there was pull up from hot tires, gauges in the cement and cracks from the house settling. So the first step in doing an upgrade to create the ManCave Garage Workshop was to have a nice floor.

The product was from Garage Flooring LLC and is called TrueLock HDXT Garage Floor Tile. The order consisted of 290 Graphite color, 218 Black, and 14 Silver/Alloy tiles to cover the 3 car garage plus 17 Female edges and 9 male edges. We came up about 8-9 tiles short, but really didn't need it because I wasn't going to lift up the water heater. I will probably still order them and cut around it. We used the layout tool on their website but I also made a model in Sketchup.

The installation process was pretty easy. The tiles snap in place with a mallet or your foot. The hardest (messiest) part is cutting the tiles on the table saw. It does create quite the mess. We had to cut pretty much around the entire perimeter of the garage.

Overall, we are very happy with the results. The garage looks great and we are really happy with the design that we chose.
